2011 Acura ZDX Starts From $45,645, Few Changes

Love it or hate it–that seems to be the choice with the Acura ZDX, the MDX-based but controversially-designed crossover/coupe. But despite the two-edged sword of looks and packaging, Acura has decided to stick to its formula for the ZDX for 2011, raising prices by $150 across the board and changing little else.

In fact, as near as we can tell, nothing is changed about the ZDX. It’s still offered in three trims: the base ZDX, the ZDX with Technology Package and the ZDX with Advance Package. Adding the Technology package brings navigation with voice recognition, real-time traffic and weather, a rear-view camera, an upgraded 415-watt Acura/ELS Surround Sound stereo, hard disk media storage, GPS-enabled dual-zone climate control, and keyless entry. The cost? $4,500 on top of the base price for a total of $50,145.

Step up to the Advance Package and you’ll get blind spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, collision mitigation, active dampers, heated and ventilated front seats, and premium leather upholstery among other refinements. Add another $6,000 for a total of $56,195.

Beyond that, the same 300-horsepower 3.7-liter V-6 VTEC engine and SH-AWD system provide motivation, and the look is still…well, funky.
