Jaguar XFR-S Spied, Four-Cylinder Porsche, Chevrolet SS Debut: Today’s Car News

The Pontiac G8 is coming back, but it will be wearing a Chevrolet badge along with new styling. It will also be replacing the current Chevrolet Impala in the NASCAR Sprint Cup series. While the actual vehicle itself won’t make its debut until February at the Daytona 500, the racing version will be revealed next month at a special event.

The first modern Porsche with a four-cylinder is going to be the upcoming Macan crossover. We also expect this engine to be available in the Boxster and Cayman eventually, along with a possible hybrid setup in a future model.

We spied the 2013 Jaguar XFR-S undergoing testing on the Nürburgring. While we’ve seen the extreme body kit and big brakes before, this is the first time we’ve seen the massive wing on the rear deck lid. Stay tuned as we expect the XFR-S to make its debut next month at the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show.
